Testimonials; These are currently from Poland where Neuroforma has been on sale for the last 18months:

 1. TRATWA Rehabilitation Center for Children and Youth in Steklinek

 Reference Letter

I am Anna. I am a physical therapist. For last several months I have been working with children using an innovative rehabilitation system called Neuroforma. I have provided therapy to about 15 children of different age and with various conditions. Here is what I found out working with Neuroforma. Neuroforma-based activities not only improve muscle strength and tone or the range of motion in the joints in upper limbs or the trunk. I have also noticed improvements in the following:

 Smoothness of movement

Majority of children that come to TRATWA have a difficulty with exercises for the plasticity of movement - tracing objects. After two weeks I noticed visible improvements in a boy with CP. He initially could not complete a level one (out of fifteen) in the tracing activity (the paths). At the end of the therapy program, he could easily finish level four. In this exercise he had to adjust to the speed of a moving ball and trace it along a fixed path. A patient needs to have a good control over his body to complete this exercise.

 Precision of movement

Catching an object is a real challenge because a patient needs to control his arm to avoid distractors. This can be particularly difficult for patients with high spasticity who do their activities with their “whole body”. They need to stay focused for an extended time to be precise with their arm movements. Merely a week after we began the training I noticed that a boy with high spasticity avoided distractors with one hand and at the same time catching objects with the other hand without touching the unwanted elements. He also knew how to relax to catch objects positioned in low quadrants, a task that requires a great effort.

 Hand-Eye Coordination

A good hand-eye coordination is required in almost all activities in Neuroforma. Seeing objects on the screen, a child has to coordinate his movements to changing elements in the activity. After two weeks a girl with a hemiparesis was able to control her paretic arm in an activity where objects (butterflies) move randomly around the screen. Although initially he could barely complete level one, she eventually reached level four.

Neuroforma facilitates rehabilitation of motor functions and cognitive functions such as perception, concentration, or memory. A girl with cerebral palsy easily graduated from level four to level six in a cognitive enhancement exercise (balls) after less than a week. The activity sends out various distracting signals challenging a user who has to stay focused on a particular task.

With Neuroforma a therapist can easily control and monitor their patient’s progress. Children in particular get excited when they can advance to the next level. They stay focused during activities that motivate them for more effortful exercising.

We have found Neuroforma a great complement for our standard therapeutic procedures due to a combined dual task paradigm.

Neuroforma is a priceless addition to the motor rehabilitation of patients suffering from stroke and patients with cognitive concerns. A variety of activities that target both motor coordination and cognitive issues and a wide selection of exercises in each category make this system very attractive. Patients eagerly compete against themselves in the therapy attempting to improve their own scores from previous sessions. Cognitive functioning is clearly improved after Neuroforma assisted sessions. We also found it an effective tool in rehabilitation of patients with mulfunctioning central nervous system because as therapists we can select the level and a required range of motion even working with patients who have very limited motor functioning. A continuous therapy progress monitoring and immediate modifications in exercises allow for adjusting activities to the current motor abilities of a patient and an improvement and monitoring of achieved levels of recovery.

Neuroforma has been commonly accepted and it became a permanent element of therapy. Some patients even compete against each other to achieve better scores. It is important that our patients can continue the exercises at home using the home version of Neuroforma. We recommend this system as an effective form of support for the motor and cognitive therapy. Patients regain their functions through easy and motivating exercises. We are highly content with Neuroforma that assists us in our affords to provide quality rehabilitation services to our patients.

Our Center has been working with Neuroforma providing neurological therapy to our patients for over a year. We find it an outstanding complement for our standard therapeutic procedure facilitating a development of motor functioning, coordination and cognition in our patients. Thanks to a large range of customizable activities and individually tailored therapeutic sessions in Neuroforma, we have used it with 60 patients suffering from a variety of dysfunctions caused by cerebral palsy, stroke, accidents, or genetic conditions.

Computer-based activities have been praised by our youngest patients who are motivated to practice prescribed exercises treating them more as a play. We also appreciate that all the data is logged and readily available. It gives us clear information about the progress and helps us adjust the therapy to meet individual needs of each patient.

The implementation of Neuroforma in our center made rehabilitation more attractive and visibly improved motor and mental conditions in many of our patients. We highly recommend this product and collaboration with its creators.
